This inventory of used media equipment includes items related to print, motion pictures, and electronic media, as indicated by the categories you can click on in the left hand menu. Most of this equipment has been used by Media Maestro staff and its history is known. All of this equipment has been tested and, unless indicated otherwise, is in good serviceable condition.
Some of the more big-ticket equipment has been rated for condition as follows: MINT = like new with no beauty marks; EX+ = functionally excellent with possibly a few beauty marks; EX=functionally excellent with normal wear; EX-= functionally excellent with noticeable wear; GOOD=functional with noticeable wear and non-essential damage (cracked viewfinder window, replaced non-original part, etc.), POOR=noticeable wear and one or more functions inoperable (slow shutter speeds inoperable, picture but no sound, etc.). Any imperfections will be described in detail prior to purchase or shipment. Additionally, there is a category of Inoperative Equipment of interest to repair departments seeking parts, collectors who might want a cosmetically excellent specimen that actually doesn’t work, and prop departments who want period items or items that might get blown up during production.
To purchase any one item, copy and paste the item line from the category page into an email to us that includes your zip code. To purchase a group of items, copy and paste the item line from each category into a word processing document, then copy and paste that list of items into an email to us that includes your zip code. For serious buyers, we will check the availability of the item, test it, weight it, respond to your email with the availability, condition, and total shipping charges. We will then hold the item(s) for you for 3 days to give you a chance to finalize the sale.
There is no charge for packaging or handling. Actual shipping charges are paid by the buyer and determined by choice of shipper, zip code destination, and weight of packaged item. At this time, U.S.P.S. Parcel Post is least expensive for small items and Fed Ex Ground is least expensive for large items. Items are shipped within 3 working days upon receipt of money order, cashier's check, or confirmation of Paypal payment (see Paypal link below). Items are shipped within 2 weeks upon receipt of American or Canadian personal checks. Overseas buyers must pay by wired cash payment. Damage in shipment is compensated by the shipper upon their acceptance of a buyer's claim. We clean and test all equipment prior to shipment, and we attempt to answer all questions a buyer may have, even to emailing digital photos of big ticket items. For these reasons, we do not accept returns except in the case of repeat customers or under unusual circumstances.
